For the third time in four games the Wellington Dukes have not allowed a goal.
Ethan Morrow stopped 22 shots for his second shutout of the year and had more than enough offensive support as the Dukes destroyed the visiting Mississauga Rebels 10-0.
Barrett Joynt scored two goals and two assists and has seven points in five games since joining Wellington.
Lucas LaPalm added a pair. Jacob Vreugdenhil, Matheson Mason, Jared Langdon, Corbin Roach, Connor Paronuzziand Connor Hunt added singles.
That extends Wellington’s winning streak to six games. They travel to St. Mikes on Thursday then host the Collingwood Blues on Friday.
Golden Hawks rally but lose in OT
In Trenton an impressive rally fell short in overtime as the Golden Hawks dropped a 4-3 decision to the Collingwood Blues. Matthew Cato forced the game to extra time capping a three-goal comeback at 16:25 of the third. It was Cato’s 17th of the season. Mitch Lafay with a goal and assist and Ryan Holmes scored for Trenton.
The G-Hawks host Caledon on Friday night.
