Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meets Monday and will host a public meeting regarding zoning amendments for the new fairgrounds.
The Official Plan Amendment application proposes to amend the easterly portion of the site at Highway 37 and Black Diamond Road to permit the use of fairgrounds within the Industrial Land Use designation.
The subject land would be rezoned from from Development Zone and Rural Zone to Environmental Sensitive Zone, General Industrial Zone and Community Facility Zone with special provisions to reduce the setback and limit the height for accessory structures, establish a minimum number of parking spaces and recognize a new front lot line.
The Belleville Agricultural Society will be moving to the 30-acre plot of land which will include its new headquarters and several other structures to host the Quinte Exhibition and other events.
The meeting begins Monday at 5:30 in council chambers.
It is an information meeting only and no decision will be made.
