The Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the North York Rangers 7 to 1 at Duncan Memorial Arena on Friday.
Jack Natyshak, Stephen McDonald, Duncan Grube, Ryan Holmes, Sam Williamson, and Austin D’Orazio all scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks scored first, almost four minutes into the first period. The Rangers scored afterwards to tie the game however that would be the only goal they would claim out of 17 shots on net. The Golden Hawks kept the pressure up shooting 30 times over the course of the game and never giving up the lead.
Meanwhile the Wellington Dukes beat the Lindsay Muskies 7 to 2.
Will Mitchell, Barett Joynt, David Campbell, Jacob Vreugdenhill, Connor hunt and Connor Paronuzzi scored points for the Dukes.
The Dukes claimed an early lead just three minutes into the first period. The Muskies managed to get on the board and tie the game in the second period, but the Dukes claimed two more goals before the end of the second to secure their lead once again.
