Belleville Police have provided an update on the situation that shut down Point Anne Road, in Belleville’s east end Wednesday afternoon.
A man has been taken into custody.
Police closed Point Anne Road from Doxtator Drive to Manley Drive due to a police investigation at a residence.
Numerous police units were on scene for approximately three hours.
Police report that there were no injuries to anyone involved.
A 37-year-old Belleville man was taken into custody and transported to the Belleville Police Station.
The investigation is still continuing, however, Point Anne Road has been reopened and police say there is no danger to the public.
