Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams and Conservative Agriculture Critic John Barlow are meeting in Prince Edward County later this month for a discussion on reducing taxes and the cost of living, as well as how to help, not hinder farmers with fertilizer reduction strategies.
Williams says Canadians are facing dire times and have never before been unable to look after the basics: food, shelter, and clothing.
Barlow, who has been Agriculture Critic since 2019, calls the Liberals’ fertilizer emissions reduction plan bad policy which will hurt farmers, cut production and raise food prices for everyone.
The event is being held October 21 at 4 p.m. at Walt’s Sugar Shack, 1671 Salem Rd, Trenton.
Tickets (available through Eventbrite) are $50 which includes a meal and donation to the BOQ Conservative Association.
