Quinte West OPP has laid several charges after spotting a woman acting suspiciously early Tuesday afternoon.
Police reported seeing the woman standing near a dumpster at the back of Trenton Town Centre attempting to hide a pair of bolt cutters.
Further investigation led to the seizure of several cans of spray paint which police allege had been stolen from a nearby business moments before the arrest.
Charged with possession of break-in instruments, theft under $5,000 and attempting to avoid arrest is 46-year-old Tracy Brenton.
