A man has been charged after a traffic stop in Picton over the weekend.
Prince Edward County OPP conducted the traffic stop around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday on Pitt St.
A vehicle had a burnt out headlight.
Further investigation from police found that the driver had an outstanding warrant and alleges the driver had violated court ordered conditions.
The accused was arrested.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and two imitation handguns.
Thirty-four-year-old Adam Horn of Belleville faces the following charges:
- Possession of imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose – two counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
- Failure to comply with a release order – three counts
- Driving while under suspension; and
- Drive without proper headlights
The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on September 24.
