More students are attending classes than last year in the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board.
School board officials say 10,730 students are attending elementary schools this year, up from 10,575 in the year previous.
And secondary school numbers are sitting at 4,548, up from 4,465 students in the 2021-22 school year.
Meanwhile only 84 elementary school students are in the so-called “virtual school.”
A “virtual school” is not being offered in the high school system.
