A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Thursday to celebrate 55 years of the Christmas Sharing Program.
As part of the ceremony, the Christmas Sharing Program welcomed Hazel Lloyst as the new Program Coordinator.
She takes over for Rick Clow who decided to step away from the role.
Chair of the Board of the Christmas Sharing Program, Ann Garvin, says in a press release that last year the program “was able to assist more than 1311 families and individuals which represents approximately 3,224 adults and children who were fed this past Christmas as a result of the generosity of this community.”
Registration for families and individuals in need can take place in person at the Christmas Sharing Office at 199 Front St., Century Village Suite 206A second floor, weekdays during the month of November from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Applicants will need to provide proof of address, income and identification.
