A Belleville man faces several criminal charges after running away from police Wednesday.
The man, who was spotted riding a bicycle in the North Front Street area, was wanted by Belleville police in connection with an August 23 home invasion.
Shortly before 9 o’clock Wednesday morning the suspect ran off into some neighbourhood backyards but was quickly caught by police.
Trevor Cox, 33, was charged with careless use of a firearm, weapons dangerous, three counts of pointing a firearm, wearing a disguise with intent, failing to comply with probation orders, and other charges.
He appears for a bail hearing Thursday
