POLICE UPDATE: The search in the village of Hastings has concluded.
The male was not apprehended, and the investigation will continue.
A police search for a male suspect is underway in the village of Hastings.
The Northumberland OPP say the male is a suspect in an incident that occurred earlier today (Wednesday) in Peterborough County.
He is described as a Black person, wearing black clothing, including a black baseball cap, wearing white shoes and has white stripes up each of his pant legs.
Police say that if this male is located, do not approach, and call 911 from a safe location.
The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their surroundings and personal safety at all times and to call the police to report any suspicious activity.
