Belleville’s Jackie Jarrell has signed a contract with the National Hockey League to work as a consultant with their officiating department.
Jarrell will work with NHL officials on fitness as well as incorporating new technology with the department on and off the ice.
Jarrell was in Buffalo last week working with new NHL prospect officials.
Jarrell is the owner of Gold Performance Training on Blessington Road. Her new job will require her to travel but she will not be relocating.
Meanwhile, all Ontario Hockey League officials will be in Belleville this weekend for their training camp.
Jarrell hosted the OHL Officiating Prospect Development Camp in Belleville in June.
