Businesses in downtown Picton are requesting that there be no charge for parking in the downtown as reconstruction of Main Street continues.
Mark Rose, manager for the Picton BIA told county council Tuesday night that many businesses are seeing a drop in sales and it’s hoped free parking would encourage people to go downtown to shop.
Council referred the request to staff for review.
