Quinte West OPP say they have arrested and charged a person after a stolen vehicle from Smiths Falls was located on the 401.
Police say they were alerted on the stolen vehicle at around 4:30 p.m on Monday.
The vehicle was described as a 2020 silver Acura.
While out on patrol a couple of hours later, Quinte West OPP say they saw a similar vehicle driving on the 401 and conducted a traffic stop near Glen Millar Rd.
Thirty-one-year-old Tyler Macisaac of Oro-Medonte Township was charged with the following:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000; and
- Driving while Under Suspension.
The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville today.
