Personnel with 8 Wing Trenton’s 424 Search and Rescue Squadron were busy Saturday.
First a Griffon chopper and crew were called out to the area of Burnt Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park where they hoisted an injured hiker away for treatment and then while flying back to base were called to another situation 15 kilometres north of Borden, near Orillia.
There on the Nottawasaga River, four stranded kayakers were rescued.
