The City of Belleville is letting residents know that Gordon Barr Limited will be completing the reconstruction of Herchimer Avenue which includes the replacement of the watermain, sanitary main and installation of a new storm sewer to the Bay of Quinte.
Construction is scheduled to begin on July 25 and be completed at the end of 2022. A full closure of Herchimer Avenue will commence on July 25 with local access only being maintained. Residents north of the CP Rail tracks will access their properties from Dundas Street and residents south of the tracks should access via South Foster Avenue and Keegan Parkway.
Pedestrians are encouraged to access the local trails via Foster Avenue due to the nature of the construction work under the CP Rail tracks.
