In response to the extreme heat, Quinte West has opened its cooling centre.
The centre will be open at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena today until 5 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford.
The City of Quinte West activates a cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena in Trenton when there are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher.
