A pair of boats collided south of Brighton on Presqu’ile Bay on Saturday afternoon.
According to Today’s Northumberland, a small powerboat collided with an approximately 70 ft. yacht that was anchored.
People on board the yacht noticed after the collision that the person on board the powerboat was unconscious, and the boat was now driving in circles.
People from the yacht managed to gain control of the powerboat and bring it to the government dock on Bayshore Road, where the person was transferred to hospital with serious injuries.
Members of the Brighton Auxiliary Rescue Unit did a search of the area, in case anyone was knocked out of the smaller boat, but nobody was found.
The powerboat suffered significant damage to its bow and windshield while the yacht is believed to have sustained minor damage.
