Police Supporting Food Bank

The Northumberland Food Bank is getting some strong support from the Cobourg Police Service.

The police service will host a number of Cram-a-Cruiser food drives through out the summer in the town of Cobourg.

All donations received will go directly to Fare Share, which distributes the food to people in need across Northumberland County.

People are asked to make a non-perishable food donation at Cram-a-Cruiser on Saturday, July 16 at Foodland, and Saturday, August 13 at Walmart, in the town of Cobourg.

• Canned pasta, stews, chili
• Chunky soups
• Flakes of ham, tuna, turkey, chicken
• Pudding and fruit cups
• Peanut Butter, Jam
• Personal items such as Deodorant, Body Wash, Shampoo
• Cookies & Crackers
• Juice and juice boxes
• Cereal, Oatmeal, Granola bars (esp. peanut free)
• Canned fruit and vegetables
• Kraft Dinner, Sidekicks
• Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate
Monetary donations are also welcome.
