A Quinte Red Devils graduate could be playing in the NHL soon.
Owen Beck, from Port Hope, was selected first in the second round of the draft and 33rd overall.
The two-way centre played for the OHL’s Mississauga Steelheads last year and was voted scholastic player of the year in both the Ontario Hockey League and Canadian Hockey League.
