Belleville police responded to 332 calls for service over a 96-hour period from 5 a.m. on June 30, 2022 to 5 a.m. on July 4, 2022.
Weapons
On June 30, 2022 at 2:25 p.m., police received a call to Victoria Park regarding a male covered in blood sitting by a tree. Police arrived and contacted EMS for assistance. While assessing the male, police also observed that he had what appeared to be several puncture wounds in his torso. The male was transported to Belleville General Hospital, then to Kingston General Hospital, where he was eventually listed in stable condition. Police spoke with several potential witnesses as well as conducted an extensive evidence search. Impaired Driver
On July 1, 2022 at 7 a.m., police received a call regarding a motor vehicle in a ditch on Harmony Road. On arrival, police located the driver who admitted to drinking the night prior. The driver, 30-year-old Anthony DiClemente of Deseronto, provided a breath sample which he failed. He was then arrested and transported to Belleville Police Service for further breath tests. DiClemente was charged with over 80mgs and impaired driving. He was later released with a July 28, 2022 court date.
