We have an update on the assault of a Belleville Transit operator that occurred Sunday June 19.
A man, completely unprovoked, assaulted the bus driver with a knife in the area of Loyalist College.
The suspect ran off into nearby woods and while Belleville police and OPP conducted a search they were unsuccessful.
Although the driver’s injuries were not life-threatening he remains off work recovering from wounds to his abdomen.
