The present mayor of Quinte West wants to stay on the job.
Mayor Jim Harrison told Quinte News on Thursday that he is seeking reelection this fall.
Harrison says, “Infrastructure is important, including, roads, water, sewer and bridges, but there are other things to look at.”
“Recreational facilities and follow the, I guess you’d say, the lead that council has established for us. Keep our finances good. Keep our equipment good.”
Harrison says, “We’ll do all we can to help staff be efficiently effective.”
He has won two mayoralty elections and has been mayor since 2014.
Harrison is a retired educator and a self-employed farmer.
He was first on council, as a councillor, in 1991.
