Belleville is preparing to celebrate Canada’s birthday with a massive gathering at the Lions Pavilion in West Zwick’s Park on July 1.
The event, starting with a pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m., will continue throughout the day and culminates in a fireworks display at dusk. Additional planned attractions include live shows, a hotdog barbecue, a low altitude flyover by a Hercules transport plane, and fun activities for children.
Parking will cost $5, however free shuttle buses will be available from the Quinte Mall and the downtown bus terminal starting from 11 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
