Helmets are essential to enjoying bicycle rides safely and free bicycle helmets are being given away for children in Belleville on Saturday
Habitat for Humanity Hastings Prince Edward, the Brain Injury Association of Quinte District and the Children’s Safety Village Belleville are hosting the giveaway from 9 am to noon at the Children’s Safety Village behind the former police station on Dundas Street.
Volunteers from the Brain Injury Association will be present to hand out the helmets and ensure that they all fit properly.
The helmets have been donated by Bonn Law which has been providing bicycle helmets for children in the community for over 10 years.
Kris Bonn, who is also the President of the Brain Injury Association of Quinte District, says they are proud to support the effort to protect children from the devastating impact of acquired brain injuries.
