There were no comments at a meeting of the Hastings County committee, on Thursday, regarding the withdrawal of a proposed housing development on property in Madoc.
A consultant’s study indicated a large portion of the property to be a wetland.
An Ottawa area company had planned to build 86 rental townhouses on the site, at the corner of Highway 62 and Highway seven.
It would have been a seniors’ housing project, built on a 7.9-hectare (19.4-acre) site, just north of downtown Madoc.
