As of 10 this morning (Saturday) we still have 380 customers without power, down 14,620 from over 15,000 when the tornado warnings and big storm landed in Belleville. Crews continued to work through the night and we have more crews to finish the job today.
Pole replacement is moving along well. Pole replacement is being completed on Isabel Street and Willard Street (this is impacting customers on Brock, Mary, James and Willard), while crews continue to work the secondary on Sidney so that those customers can get energized.
We are currently waiting for Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) authorization to reconnect a number of single outage customers. (As a note, our outage map has a threshold and does not show any areas with less than 10 customers without power.)
We did have a small spill from a transformer, but it has been contained and remediation efforts are underway.
I wanted to note how wonderfully patient residents/our customers have been with us during our restoration efforts. Their patience and understanding has been immensely appreciated.
ABOVE IS INFORMATION FROM ELEXICON ENERGY 10 a.m. SATURDAY JUNE 18.
Meanwhile Hydro One continues to deal with a relatively few small outages in the Quinte region.
A larger outage has occurred on the west side of Trenton and it’s hoped power will be restored there by 6 o’clock Saturday evening.
