Two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of property from a Quinte West business.
Quinte West OPP report that sometime between June 8 and 10, a truck was stolen from a business on Old Highway 2 and then returned to the business where it was used to transport more than $5,000 worth of stolen property from a trailer on site.
The stolen property included tools, TVs, hunting and fishing equipment, a computer and other personal belongings.
Tuesday afternoon, Community Street Crime Unit officers, assisted by the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a Whites Road residence and arrested two people.
Some of the stolen property was recovered along with other unrelated suspected stolen property.
Fifty-six-year-old Christopher Baker and 49-year-old Garry Deline, both of Quinte West face multiple charges including theft over $5000, theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
Additionally, Baker is charged with failure to comply with a release order and Deline faces two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Both were held in custody for a bail hearing on Wednesday in Belleville.
