Brighton council will be deciding on a very different kind of request at its meeting tonight (Monday).
The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command is asking to use the old Hilton Hall north of town for training purposes in the coming days.
These personnel can respond quickly to any areas of conflict around the world.
Members Canadian Special Forces Command are training at dozens of locations in the Belleville, Stirling, and Campbellford through June 20.
If approved by council the group would use Hilton Hall as a meeting facility where Sergeants would issue orders to soldiers on June 10 and 12.
