The Progressive Conservatives won 83 of the legislature’s 124 seats in Thursday’s election, but voter turnout hit all-time lows.
According to Elections Ontario, voter turnout was at a historic low of 43%.
The Tories captured 41% of those votes.
Meanwhile, voter turnout in three ridings in our listening area was also lower than in 2018.
In Bay of Quinte riding, voter turnout was 45.2%, in Hastings- Lennox and Addington 47%, and in Northumberland-Peterborough South 51.38%.
