A second candidate has declared her intention to run for a Ward 1 seat on Belleville Council in this fall’s provincial election.
Barbara Enright-Miller filed papers late last week.
Enright-Miller is the owner of Royal Property Management.
So far she and Lisa Anne Chatten are the only declared candidates in the urban Belleville Ward.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk is seeking reelection as is Paul Carr in Ward 2.
In Prince Edward County, current councillor Kate MacNaughton is running again in Picton Ward.
She joins councillors St-Jean, Nieman, Prinzen, Roberts and Hirsch looking to be reelected.
Former councillor David Harrison is also running in North Marysburgh.
There are still just two declared candidates for mayor – incumbent Steve Ferguson along with Dianne O’Brien.
There are no new candidates to name in Quinte West.
Allan DeWitt and David McCue, both seeking reelection, remain the only two declared candidates.
Municipal elections will be held October 24.
