Two people from Prince Edward County will serve house arrest for two months and be on probation for one year after pleading guilty to assault peace officer charges earlier this month.
The pair were ordered to not have any contact with the local OSPCA officer.
Laverne and Gina Marshall of Consecon, both 42 at the time of their arrest, were charged after OPP were called to a residence to help a provincial animal welfare inspector in March of last year.
Along with the assaults on officers, OPP say a vehicle was damaged as well.
The pair were sentenced May 4 in Picton.
