Despite a resident’s concerns about large farm animals roaming on roads and private property, Prince Edward County council will not create a by-law to regulate farm animals or appoint a poundkeeper.
Roy Pennell has been before council with concerns about animals wandering off their farm occasionally on Salem Road.
Tuesday night council voted against reconsidering previous decisions against a by-law and appointing a poundkeeper because problems with roaming animals have been few and far between and many farmers might take issue with a restrictive bylaw.
