A Napanee man is $500,000 richer after a recent lottery win.
Vince Prout shared a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize with another ticket in the April 1, 2022 draw.
Prout, a lottery player since 1976, says, “I went to the store to check my tickets and realized I won. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster. I tucked the ticket into my pocket because I wanted my kids to find out before anyone else.”
“My granddaughters said, ‘You deserve it grandpa’ and hearing that was wonderful.”
Retired from manufacturing, Prout is planning some home renovations and wants to invest some to leave behind for his children.
The winning ticket was purchased at Munroe’s General Store on County Road 2 in Napanee.
