Twenty-five staff of Family Dental Centre volunteered their time Sunday for the annual Free Dental Day.
Owner Dr. Yasmin Monemdjou (Dr. Yazz) says many of the patients’ stories bring tears to her eyes.
“Brings tears to my eyes to be able to see them so happy, they’re so appreciative, they’re so thankful. That’s why we’re here today.”

Patients who could not afford treatment received a cleaning, extraction, or filling.
“Have no dental insurance, lower income, can’t afford it. They’re in pain, they have an infection, missing a front tooth. There’s always these issues. It’s really nice to be able to come today, we have 25 staff members here, volunteering to help those people.”
Over 100 people were treated, and over $33,000 in work was done.
