Another new housing development is being proposed for urban Brighton.
The developer has not yet forwarded formal zoning change requests to the municipality but the mayor of Brighton says there will soon be a public open house.
The developer proposes up to 64 residential units featuring single family houses, semi-detached houses, townhouses and four-plex apartment buildings on land on the west side of Ontario Street north of Iroquois Avenue.
Mayor Brian Ostrander says it’s important the public get involved early in the process as Brighton continues to grow.
“Before a developer puts any application in with the municipality we want to socialize those concepts with the community.”
A date for a public meeting has not yet been set but will be advertised.
