The Trenton Golden Hawks’ playoff season was short, meaning their summer will be long.
The Haliburton Huskies defeated Trenton 2-1 in the decisive third game of their OJHL East Division semi-final to win the series 2-1.
Trenton won the opening game of the series and held an early 2-0 lead in game two. However, the Huskies rallied for a 3-2 victory.
Last night (Thursday) Haliburton took a 2-0 lead before Tanner McEachern pulled Trenton to within a goal at 10:25 of the third period.
Haliburton County will now play the Cobourg Cougars in a best of five division final series.
