Brighton council will waive building permit fees for a family planning a home renovation to make life better for a young boy who’s suffering from a debilitating illness.
Mason Galambos, born in 2016, suffers from a rare genetic disorder known as Allan-Herndon-Dudley syndrome.
The illness causes extreme muscle weakness, developmental delays, muscle spasms, and many other ailments.
The Galambos family has hoped to be able to renovate their home on Alice Street to accommodate Mason and close to $80,000 has been raised on a GoFundMe page.
