Belleville police responded to 60 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on March30, 2022 to 5 a.m. on March 31, 2022.
Stolen Vehicle
On March 30, 2022 at 11:45 a.m,. Belleville police were called to a residence on Mudcat Road regarding a stolen vehicle. It was reported that sometime between Friday, March 25, 2022 and Monday, March 28, 2022, suspects stole a 2008 Hyundai Elantra bearing a PEI licence plate with the number 899LE. The investigation is ongoing. Arrest on Warrants
On March 30, 2022 at 11:05 a.m., Belleville police arrested a 19-year-old male Belleville resident, Brody Vanslyck, on an outstanding warrant for possession of stolen property. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in August of 2021 where he was charged with possession of stolen property. Vanslyck was held for a show cause hearing on March 31, 2022.
