The 2022 Tourism Management Plan goes before Prince Edward County Committee of the Whole on Thursday.
Staff has prepared a detailed report regarding the management of visitor volumes and flows for the upcoming tourist season intended to build on the success of the previous year.
Features of the 2022 plan includes higher capacity limits at Wellington Rotary Beach and, like last year, waiving entry fees for County residents.
It also adds contract staff to bolster by-law and boat launch parking enforcement.
Staff are working on adding another public boat launch and improved signage for public areas.
The report suggests visitor volumes in 2022 are not expected to be as heavy as summer 2020 as COVID restrictions loosen and many people return to international travel.
In a separate agenda item, council will discuss a report and are recommending several changes to the parking by-law that would support the 2022 Tourism Management Plan.
