In provincial Junior A action the Wellington Dukes won and the Trenton Golden Hawks lost last night and the Dukes now sit just one point behind the G-Hawks in the East Division standings.
Trenton has one game in hand.
Wellington defeated Lindsay 6 to 3 in front of less than 100 fans in Lindsay. The Dukes netted 4 in the second.
Scoring for Wellington were Emmet Pierce with 2, Jax Wismer, Graham Dickerson, David Campbell, and Jaxen Boyer.
The Dukes outshot the Muskies 36 to 31.
Meanwhile it was a totally different atmosphere in Trenton as close to 1,000 fans watched their Golden Hawks lose 4 to 3 to the Haliburton County Huskies. Haliburton scored 3 goals in the third to ice the game.
Scoring for Trenton were Aiden MacIntosh, Tanner McEachern, and Dalton Bancroft.
The Golden Hawks outshot the Huskies 38 to 34.
In Junior C playoff action, the Port Hope Panthers defeated the Campbellford Rebels 3 to 2 in overtime and now have a 2 games to 1 lead in the best of 7. The two teams play again tonight in Port Hope at 7:30.
Also tonight the Frankford Huskies play host to the Picton Pirates for game 2 in their series. Picton leads one game to none. Puck drops at 7:50.
