The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties dropped significantly over the last two days.
HPE Public Health reported Wednesday nine people are in hospital, down from 17 on Monday.
However, three people remain in ICU, unchanged from the last report.
There were 56 new high-risk cases.
Active cases dropped to 151 from Monday’s 162.
There are still seven outbreaks in high-risk settings, three in congregate living settings and four in long term care or retirement facilities.
Eighty-three percent of HPE residents aged five and up have received two doses of a COVID vaccine while almost 88,000 people have received a booster dose.
