Belleville’s Abbott Girduckis wasted no time settling in with his new team.
Girduckis scored in his second game as a member of the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolf Pack as they beat the Bridgeport Islanders 4-1. It was his first goal in the AHL. He played nine games with the Cleveland Monsters in the 2019-2020 season but did not record a point.
Girduckis signed a Professional Tryout Agreement with Hartford on Friday.
Girduckis has starred with the ECHL’s Jacksonville Icemen where he has 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points in 41 games. The 26-year-old former Quinte Red Devil, Picton Pirate and Wellington Duke was a runner-up for ECHL Player of the Month in February.
