Building activity in Prince Edward County last month was well above February 2021.
Sixty-four permits worth $12.1 million were issued in February compared to 41 permits with a construction value of $2.8 million a year earlier.
New home construction is responsible for most of that $12 million.
There were 10 permits worth almost $8 million issued for new houses.
Year-to-date, the County has handed out 130 permits worth $33.3 million.
That is an increase over 2021 when there were 95 permits worth $9.8 million issued in the first two months of the year.
