A significant donation to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation is going to help replace priority equipment at Belleville General Hospital.
Ralph Johnston and Tony Martin made a $200,000 donation to the Foundation as the hospital and front line teams see the resumption of surgical activities, coupled with a rise in Covid cases and ongoing staff shortages.
Throughout that time the couple have supported various initiatives, notably becoming matched donors for the Foundation’s inaugural Love Locks campaign along with substantial pledges at the Foundation’s signature event, The Annual Gala.
“We are fortunate to be in a position to be able to give back to the community and have both experienced, firsthand, the exceptional care available at our local regional hospital,” said Ralph.
Responding to the pair’s extraordinary generosity, BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook said, “Ralph and Tony have been exceptionally generous in helping us to meet our equipment commitments to Quinte Health Care over the past number of years. They understand the importance of quality healthcare and have played a key role in our ability to give hospital teams the tools they need to treat patients effectively.”
