A former pastor and Deseronto resident faces another sex charge, this time in the state of Michigan.
According to ClickOnDetroit, Timothy Milley, now in his 70s, was recently charged in Michigan and has been extradited to the U.S. on a charge of travelling in foreign commerce to have sex with a minor following an alleged incident in 2013.
The alleged victim, who was 15 at the time the incident was said to have occurred, brought the matter to police’s attention in 2020.
It’s alleged Milley, using an alias, lured the girl online asking for nude photos and eventually travelled to Michigan to meet her in 2013, taking her to a motel room to have sex.
Milley, who used to be the minister at Cataraqui United Church, had been convicted of sex offenses after being charged by Peel Region police in 2019 for luring a child under the age of 16.
