Fire investigators in Quinte West will be back on scene Friday following a house fire Thursday evening.
Firefighters from Quinte West Station 4 were called to 1447 Frankford Road around 6:15 p.m. for a fire which originated in the basement.
Firefighters from Station 7 also responded to the scene as well as a tanker from Belleville.
Frankford Road was closed for a period of time while fire crews battled the blaze.
Fire Chief John Whelan says they believe the fire was electrical in nature but will investigate further on Friday.
Damage is estimated at $400,000 and Chief Whelan says 43 firefighters responded to the call.
