Building in Quinte West did not slow down in January.
In its first report for 2022, the Quinte West Building Department reports 48 permits with a construction value of $13.7 million were issued last month.
That compares to 35 permits worth $5.1 million in January 2021.
Most of last month’s building activity was new residential.
Twenty-seven of the 48 permits issued were for single family dwellings.
