Another step is being taken toward the construction of a new $80 million hospital in Prince Edward County.
Tuesday Quinte Health Care announced that preliminary design and block sketches of the new hospital have been sent to the provincial government for review and approval.
This work is known as stage three of a five-stage process and approval to move on to working drawings is expected to take a few months.
The new Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital will be about 96,000 square feet on two levels and it’s hoped construction can begin in 2024 with completion in 2027.
