Prince Edward County councillors and staff will be setting this year’s operational budget this week.
The current proposed operational budget for 2022 is $65.3 million.
A tax levy increase of 0.9% is required following decisions made by council during their capital budget deliberations.
The increase works out to a $21.66 increase on an average assessment of $300,000.
The meeting begins Wednesday, February 2 and is scheduled to continue Thursday and Friday.
